Rising Sun on Stage has witnessed not only many superb Japanese artists’ performances, different genres: from mythological folk to sugar sweet pop and multi-layered electronica, but also some awesome Japanese – Lithuanian collaborations. Started in 2012, the project has already brought up more than 18 performances.

Rising Sun on Stage invites Lithuanian and Japanese performing artists to collaborate for the joint interdisciplinary performances, combining music, dance and audiovisual installations, bringing local communities in Lithuania and Japan to seek intercultural dialogue, discover new ways of creative self-expression and to unveil cultural peculiarities of while getting acknowledged with the high-quality international scene.
